Please arrive at Turning Stone Resort Casino no later than 2pm on the day prior to your scheduled hunt. After a meet and greet with your guide, you will be escorted to The Preserve for firearms sighting, safety training and skills assessment. The skills assessment allows the guide to determine how to best structure the hunt based on your abilities. Oneida Indian Nation Outfitters has rental firearms available for guests. For those bringing their personal firearms and ammunition, we'll secure them in our gun safe. After the skills assessment, the guide will transport you back to Turning Stone.
Your hunt days begin at 5am with private transport from your lodging at Turning Stone to The Preserve. After enjoying breakfast at our 24-hour Emerald Restaurant, a guide will escort you to your hunting location. The guide will lead the tracking of the desired class of deer and confirm that the deer falls into the class for which you are committed.
Tree stands are positioned throughout The Preserve to provide an elevated vantage point. You will return to the Hunter's Cabin for lunch and then your guide will lead you back out to your hunting location.
Your guide will assist in tracking, recovery and field-dressing your harvest. Oneida Indian Nation Outfitters can also coordinate taxidermy services upon request for an additional fee. If you are successful on the first day of your hunt you may have the option to hunt a doe or purchase another buck, subject to availability.
